  •  #1 - Maximal strength. (6:06)
    • Lots of carryover to other types of strength and the real world.
    • Low reps and lifting heavy.
    • Best example: Powerlifter.
    • Phase 1: MAPS Programs.
    • Produces solid, hard-looking body.
  •  #2 - Explosive strength. (12:47)
    • How fast and hard your muscles can contract.
    • This makes you agile and athletic.
    • Involves proper technique and efficiency.
    • Best examples: Olympic lifters and sprinters.
    • Most misunderstood type of strength.
    • Lift lightweight fast for a few reps, but not to fatigue.

    • Muscles exert strength rep after rep (driving a sled, supersets, long high-volume sessions).
    • Best examples: Bodybuilder, running back, and CrossFit athlete.
    • Great for real-world work capacity.

    • Training gives you a great pump.
